How We Do It

SR Seminars address the primary components of more powerful work habits and group effectiveness: Mind-Body Balance, Active Attention, and Team Cooperation. Whether you sit in the executive suite, administrative offices, or are part of the creative or production teams, our three-step program will improve the way you work, increase your productivity, and reduce your overall costs.

Mind-Body Balance

We teach techniques that help people integrate their mental and physical intelligence. These mind-body methods transform stress and liberate creative thinking in the workplace. The Alexander Technique is the basis of our mind-body education module.

Active Attention

To cultivate Active Attention, we introduce games and exercises that are typically outside of your comfort zone. Most people have no problem paying attention to activity that is pleasant or within their competence; the difficulty often arises when people are asked to direct their attention to unfamiliar tasks. We assign unusual tasks - rhythm games and division of attention exercises - and each participant's attention span and ability to actively direct his or her attention is challenged and developed.

An ongoing series of exercises with increasing challenge and complexity is available for students as they advance in this practice. This second learning module depends on the first: the ability to practice Active Attention is largely reliant upon each person's engagement with our methods for Mind-Body Integration.

Team Cooperation Initiative

The first two modules of our program focus in individual capacity. The final component of our training combines the first two and brings them into the realm of group activity. For our Team Cooperation Initiative, we have developed a set of exercises and performance challenges that rely on a group's ability to practice Mind-Body Balance and Active Attention together as an integrated unit.

The key components of effective group work are communication skills: looking, listening, and exchanging information. These rely upon individual Active Attention skills, which in turn are governed by the practice of Mind-Body Integration. Through the application of group games, division of attention exercises, and performance challenges, we create a laboratory for applying the Mind-Body and Active Attention. In a one-day or two-day seminar, we transform your group into a Team.
